Dr. Wang has more than 30 years of clinical experience in the U.S. and China, with expertise in cardiovascular disease, obesity, anti-aging, nutrition, and weight loss. Trained in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture, he is passionate about helping others overcome disorders and achieve well-being through holistic medicine.
In 2007, Dr. Wang co-founded TotalCare Walk-In Clinic with Dr. Zhang and currently serves as Medical Director. He also runs TotalCare’s Weight Reduction program. Prior to launching his own practice, Dr. Wang served as Attending Physician in Cardiology at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, where he was also Director of the Internal Medicine Teaching Program and Chair of the Mortality Committee. In addition, he served as Assistant Professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine and Western University of Health Sciences; he was also a Ronald W. Reynolds Fellow at UCLA.
Dr. Wang earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in China, where he did residency training in Internal Medicine. He then completed fellowships in Cardiology at the USC Keck School of Medicine and Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Wang earned his Master of Science degree in Molecular Biology at California State University, Los Angeles, and has co-authored more than 20 papers and abstracts in publications including the Journal of Clinical Investigation, American Journal of Physiology, and Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology. He has been invited to give oral and poster presentations at conferences held by the American Heart Association, International Heart Research Association, and American Spinal Injury Association.
